The year 2024 has been nothing short of extraordinary. If someone had told me at its outset that I would leave my full-time job to focus entirely on a burgeoning side project, I would have dismissed it as improbable. Yet, 2024 has proven to be a year of remarkable transformation. In late May, I made the decision to step away from my full-time consulting role and immerse myself fully in the dynamic world of startups - a realm I have grown to love and am wholly dedicated to.

From the very inception of The Modernists, I knew I was committed to creating an all-encompassing membership platform designed to empower young professionals with tailored access to the best experiences London has to offer. Reflecting on the past year, I am thrilled by some standout highlights: attending an exquisite wine tasting at 67 Pall Mall, dancing the night away at Nikita in striking red attire - a signature Modernists touch - and, most notably, the successful launch of Version 1 of our web application. This milestone introduced a revamped subscription model, granting members greater access to inspiring venues and vibrant communities in London.

The launch event, held on October 4th at Upstairs at Langan’s, was a resounding success and marked a turning point for The Modernists. Following this milestone, we have experienced a staggering 600% increase in revenue compared to the same period last year. We concluded 2024 on a high note with a glamorous Black-Tie Christmas dinner at the Home Grown Club - an occasion that would have made 007 himself proud.

While 2024 has been monumental, I am confident that 2025 will be even more transformative. Several exciting developments are on the horizon. Notably, The Modernists is set to become one of the first startups in our field, and the first female-led one, to partner with a traditional members’ club. This milestone includes an upcoming collaboration with the prestigious Walbrook Club, thanks to Philip Palumbo, and other similar partnerships in our pipeline. We also plan to broaden our scope to include other hospitality sectors such as restaurants, co-working spaces, gyms, and wellness clubs.

In addition to these initiatives, assembling a strong co-founder team is a top priority for 2025, and I am actively working toward this goal. We are also preparing to raise our first Pre-Seed funding round to accelerate growth and expand our team. Furthermore, the release of Version 1 of our platform signifies just the beginning, with enhancements already in development.

Finally, none of this would have been possible without you, our valued members. Your unwavering support, trust, and enthusiasm have been the cornerstone of The Modernists' success. I am deeply grateful to each of you, and I raise a glass in your honour. As we move forward, I remain committed to ensuring that our platform continues to provide unparalleled access to extraordinary experiences. Your feedback is always welcome, and together, I am confident we can make 2025 even more exceptional.
